Reporting line:


Role Summary:

  • Oversees the development and execution of the Company’s information technology-related strategies and initiatives for all the markets (Italy, Uk, Portugal, USA).
  • Plans for the company's technology needs and ensures that tech-related issues are resolved.
  • Analyses information and communicates with the CEO, COO and senior leaders to ensure that there is alignment on technology- related activities.
  • Works with other area leaders to ensure alignment with the Company’s business operations, including with suppliers, and consistency with the services and products being delivered to customers.
  • Moves the company forward with advances in information technology, including the methods used to process and manage information, with major focus on the cyber security processes.
  • Serves as the leader and innovator for the company's information technology department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Continuous review of the Company's operations and information technology-related needs and opportunities.
  • Develops strategies to improve the security, efficiency and efficacy of technological initiatives (including the use of systems, computers, mobile devices, and other communication methods).
  • Ensures that the company's systems and data remain secure by: keeping up to date on the latest cyber security threats and employing appropriate measures to guard against them on an organisation-wide scale; oversees regular performance reviews of the cyber security of the Company’s systems, services and products (including non-destructive penetration testing); support people department in delivering a smart working way of working.
  • Seeks out hardware and software that will help the company, including consideration of key supplier relationships and dependencies.
  • Execution of work arising from all of the above points.
  • Oversees the development and testing of new programs developed specifically for the company.
  • Reviews vendor proposals and makes decisions based on objective criteria (including service and/or product capability offered, price, schedule, and fit for the Company).
  • Communicates with the CEO, COO, and other Area Leaders to ensure that all parts of the Company use information technology in the best ways possible.
  • Budget manager for information technology-related activities.
  • Accountable for the performance of the Company’s ERP System.
  • Definition and develop a consistent disaster recovery plan for each markets.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
  • Proven Track Record of Achievement in Information Technology at Strategic Level
  • Strategic Mindset, and Analytical Skills
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communications, including the Ability to Communicate Complex Technical Issues to Non-Specialists (including Colleagues, Stakeholders, and Customers)
  • Proven Leadership Capabilities
  • Coaching and Teaching Capabilities
  • Fluent English
